Christian Environment
FMCC Preschool is a Christian based program. Each week, the children learn
scripture and hear Bible stories that teach basic fundamental principles. The
teachers are committed to loving each child as God loves them, unconditionally
and without fault. The Preschool is a ministry of Franklin Memorial Christian
Church and has the full support, guidance and prayer from a dynamic and growing church.
Preschool (3 yr olds)
Your child must be three years old by August 1st. The class meets two times a
week on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-11:00am or from 12:00-2:30 pm. In
the Preschool class, we provide opportunities for the children to experience
social interaction by having activities that involve both small and large groups.
The Preschool curriculum is theme based which help children grow at his/her
individual developmental stage. As children grow, opportunities are provided for
them to enjoy social interactions. This class is to introduce children to basic
concepts so they are familiar with these concepts when they are taught in the
Pre/K class.
Preschool (4 yr olds)
Your child must be four years old by August 1st. The class meets three times a
week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30-11:00 am or from
12:00-2:30 pm. This program focuses on the child's developing attention span
and ability to cooperate while fostering independence and self-reliance. Children
who develop social skills at this age enhance their ability to communicate
effectively and interact cooperatively. Through developmentally appropriate
activities, children are prepared for the more structured academic approach of
Kindergarten.
High-5 (5 yr olds)
Your child must be five years old by August 1st. The class meets three times a
week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30-11:00 am
. This program is a Kindergarten alternative that uses a modified
Kindergarten curriculum, different from our Pre/K program. We will focus on
reading readiness including letter blending and sight words, as well as language
arts, social studies, science, simple math readiness, and other early
Kindergarten skills.
