Mexican Well
When FMCC Missions was planning our third trip down to Bacalar, Mexico to work in the Mayan villiages, we asked the mission "What is the one thing we could do that would have a major impact on the village?".

We were told that by far their biggest need was a new well.  Another church had installed a water purification system in the back of the church last year, but the well was not sufficient to supply enough water.  The villagers had collected $2500 and needed another $1500 to have the new well dug.  FMCC Missions sent fund to complete the work and supply the village with clean drinking water.

Grundy Mattresses
Our mission team that went to Grundy, VA this year were busy completing many different projects for the school.  One of the big projects was repairing the beds that the kids use in the dorms.  During this process they found out that one particular building had an issue with bed bugs.  They had bagged the mattresses with chemicals to treat them, but this was not an ideal solution due to the risk to the kids.  Fortunately, one of our members was very familiar with those chemicals and knew we needed to do something about it.  FMCC was able to purchase 30 new mattresses for this dorm and the kids do not have to worry about the cleanliness of their beds any longer.

Mexican Generator
The mission camp we stayed at in Bacalar, Mexico is used primarily for local pastors and church leaders, as well as us Americans on mission trips.  The pastors use it for conferences, training, and retreats.  It helps the pastors grow in their understanding of Bible and helps them to Shepard their congregations effectively.

However, this is Mexico, so not everything works when you need it to work.  The electricity is very sporadic, so they never know when it will go out.  This means their sound systems can't be used, nor will the toilets flush, and of course the refrigerators will be affected too.

So, when FMCC was there this year we realized how much this affected the camp and it's ability to serve the local churches.  Therefore, we decided to bless the camp with a new generator that was large enough to power the entire camp.  We even used it the week we were there, as the power went out everyday from 8-5, and we used power tools to complete our projects.  The mission was extremely grateful and they will get many years of use our of this quality generator.
